30 workers from GRAND ROYAL Alcohol Factory demonstrated.

30 workers from GRAND ROYAL alcohol factory demonstrated at the Industrial Zone (2) on the
Kanaung Min Thar Gyi road, Mandalay Pyi Gyi Tagon Township because two members of Trade Union were dismissed by the employer.

Ko Zaw Sai Min, a former chairman of Trade Union said “We don’t want anyone fired. Nobody wants to quit from their works. Four members were also fired who were in the first group of Trade Union. Now both of our chairman and finance were dismissed again. It is not justice because they have no reason to fire us and they said they don’t need a lot of workers”.
On the 12th day of this month, 4 skilled workers who took part in Trade Union were being sacked. It is because of using drug and alcohol in the compound of factory according to U Soe Min say, a factory coordinator.
Now, there are 6 workers all together who are being fired from work. Although officers from the township department of labor came to negotiate with the employer, workers are not allowed to get into the factory compound.
