Yaung Chi Oo Workers’ Association
led and organized human rights, labors’ rightys, sexual and gender difference
based on training at HonePhai ward, Maesot on December 17 for two days.
There were sixteen participants in
total in additional to thirteen female workers. Most of them are general workers
in that place.
“The main of this training is to educate workers to
be aware of their own rights, being united will get success and prevent their
own rights that they have been abused” said one organizer, in charge of that
training.
In the first of that training, the trainer, Ko Myo Ko lectured articles about Humans rights in Universal Declaration of Humans Rights.
The trainer, Ko Hein Ko Ko, addressed migrants workers’ rights in the morning of second day of that training. In the afternoon, Daw Thuzar Kyaing lectured Sexual and gender difference.
One of the trainee said “by participating in this training, I am aware of my own rights. I didn’t know how my rights were being abused before. Now, I get to know what rights are and think how to protect. Thus, I would like Yaung Chi Oo Workers’ Association to lead this kind of training more and more”.

Yaung Chi Oo Workers’ Association has been
fighting for migrants workers and totally, 207 cases were successful and have
helped 2,753 Myanmar migrants’ workers.
