
On
May 1st, Yaung Chi Oo Workers’ Association and MRPWG held May Day
ceremony at forest monastery (Watparkaung), in Mae pa village, Mae Sot, Tak,
Thailand.
Former political prisoner,
writer, Oo Soe Nay Lin gave opening speech and the purpose of May Day ceremony
and one worker told his feeling to audiences. What’s more, Yaung Chi Oo Workers’
Association and Burmese migrant workers shouted the armor that presents what is
going on workers. Ko Hein form Yaung Chi Oo Workers’ Association and teacher
Tha Gyan Moe from Day Care Center performed one of Burmese traditional dance,
named U Shwe Yoe and Daw Moe in that ceremony.
Over
200 migrant workers had attended in May Day ceremony.
