Tuesday, July 05, 2016

On 16, Thai police and other relevant organizations checked and inspected factory workers around Mae Thoung Phat village for whether workers have legal documents, medical checkup, official wage and child labor or not.
Those inspectors arrested some illegal workers. Even when Polices checked in BikePuu factory, they even arrested other illegal workers around that factory.
Those inspectors are Thai polices, Thai army, Thai Immigration Office, Thai Labor Protection Office and Hospital Officers. The main purpose of checking was whether worker’ rights are protected, they are healthy, toiled and drinking water are purified or not. If toilet and drinking water are not purified, that factory’s employer was fine.
According to what workers said, workers were ordered to avoid and stay other places and the factory was closed to be able to prevent before inspectors come to Mae Thoung Phat village.
Last by the end of April, Thai polices checked sewing, furniture and domestic factories in Nawkipha village
