The 16 labors from 63 workers prosecuted the company’s
employee had received the compensation from SD Fashion Co. ltd at Labors Protection
Office in Mae Sot on July 22, 2014.
Yaung Chi Oo Workers Association gave the link to the
leaders and representative of workers with Thai lawyer from MAP Foundation.
‘Today I’m really delighted for this case, but not so
happy for that the compensation is not received at the time together for all
people. If together, I would be glad’ said the representative of the workers.
The treatment, agreed to pay 300 Baht per day by the
labors’ law was signed in Labors Protection Office between the employee and
employers on February 2013. The employee cut of the wages about 115 Baht of the
labors, lived in factory’ dormitory. The employers were fired out from the
factory because the employee could not pay that amount of money 300 Baht per
day.
The employers have faced this case for one year and four
months to compensate from the employee. The other have to continue taking to
the court. All labors have to get 15,000,000 Baht as the compensation but now
about 30,000 Baht for 16 employers.
