Hundreds of timber workers demonstrated at War Tayar Industrial Zone

200 timber workers demonstrated for breaking agreement of contract between employer and employees by a timber company in a specific period of day from War Tayar industrial zone, Shwe Pyi Thar, Yangon.

We are going on strike because they are persuading some workers to get into another labor group which will support only them social welfare cards and other specials. It is discrimination.

When Workers demonstrated two times for 8 demands, employer said that it will be done by September 28, but nothing changed until now. That is why they are going on strike for demands included to be completed lawful contract, to be legal workers at factory, to be arranged ferry for transportation, to get social welfare card and others.
